Code Saturne: Installation

Jump to: navigation, search

1 Code Saturne Automated or manual installation

Code_Saturne may be installed either directly through its GNU Autotools based scripts (the traditional configure, make, make install sequence), or using an automated installer (, which generates an initial setup file when run a first time, and builds and installs Code_Saturne and some optional libraries based on the edited setup when run a second time. The use of this automated script is briefly explained in the top-level README file of the Code_Saturne sources, as well as in the comments of setup file. It is not detailed further in this documentation, which details the manuel installation, allowing a finer control over installation options.

Note that when the automatic installer is run, it generates a build directory, in which the build may be modified (re-running configure, possibly adapting the command logged at the beginning of the config.status file) and resumed.
